Expand the brackets..

#-5 +25x - 40x -10 = -4x -8x + 3#

Simplyfing..

#-5 - 15x = -12x + 3#

Collect like terms..

#-15x + 12x = 3 + 5#

#-3x = 8#

Divide both sides by #-3#

#(-3x)/3 = -8/3#

#cancel(-3x)/cancel(-3) = -8/3#

#x = -8/3#
